Bert provided his consulting services to the BC Ministry of Education as Project Director for the Integrated Student Data portfolio of projects to transform the Ministry’s systems and business processes for collection and reporting of student data.

Projects Delivered under the portfolio:

  • The StudentTranscripts service has provided enhanced web-based transcript services for students and the public by facilitating secure electronic transcript distribution mechanisms (PESC XML and PDF) to post-secondary institutions and industry training partners.
  • A centralized Operational Data Store at the core of the Integrated Student Data Portfolio to act as a common data source for Ministry data collection applications.
  • The MyEducationBC Analytics dashboard for analytic data reporting for Schools and Districts based upon the Operational Data Store using Oracle OBIEE.
  • Design, development and testing of the Student Data Exchange application to monitor quality of collected student data.
